High Key- Low Key Inspiration

After researching High Key and Low Key photos on the internet, the two photos that resonated the most with me were these that I found of pinterest:

This photo is an example of High Key photography. The key to this method of photography is to apply your knowledge of lighting and highlight the brightest parts of the photo. By heavily bringing out the whites in this particular photo the lightness of the flower is portrayed. This creates a surreal, delicate mood for the photo. 

This photo is an example of Low Key photography, where the blacks and shadows are heightened in order to really define the woman's face. By creating such intense contrasts between the woman and the shadows it relays a very dark and intense photo.
